Master of Ceremonies
Kino Williams
Kino Williams is a Senior Staff Associate at SUNY Downstate Health Science University, where he has been a member of staff for over 20 years. He started at Downstate in 2002 as a staff assistant, first working in the Department of Surgery which was followed by a promotion to Residency Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry in 2007. He would be promoted yet again to Senior Staff Associate in 2011, moving to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine. He is currently serving as Senior Staff Associate within the Department of Radiology (2017) where he functions as the department's performance improvement administrator and residency administrator of the Radiation Oncology program (2019). Kino holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, and Master’s degree in Business Economics. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Psychology in Organizational Leadership at Touro Worldwide University. He also holds the following certifications: Certified Training Administrator of a Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). He holds the distinction of being the very first coordinator at Downstate to have earned the TAGME certification. Mr. Williams was recently awarded the prestigious Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award by the ACGME and will receive his recognition at the 2024 ACGME annual educational meeting. Kino also received the Residency Coordinator of the Year Award by the Office of Graduate Medical Education at Downstate in 2022 and the Humanitarian Award by the Residency Program Coordinator Forum (RPCF) in 2021 for his work and efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kino has been serving as an executive member of RPCF at Downstate, for the last three (3) years. During this time, he has actively participated in promoting and advocating for the empowerment and advancement of his fellow coordinators in the field of graduate medical education.

Dondi Scumaci
Dondi Scumaci is an International Performance Consultant and author – an expert in leadership development, professional development, performance management and world-class service. She designs content that offers participants opportunities to practice and reinforce new skills, while quickly increasing comfort levels. • Dondi is the author of three published books on career management. • She is a presenting powerhouse and has been around the world (several times) to share her unique insights. • Dondi is the author of Mentoring in-a-box, a self-guided tool designed to engage mentoring partnerships. She is known as a Mentoring Thought Leader. • Over twelve years, Dondi has helped thousands of UPS’ers around the world create mentoring communities and peer-to-peer partnerships. These programs are designed to guide, strategize, help participants diagnose gaps, practice new skills and attain measurable successes. • Dondi authors all of her content and has a deep understanding of client needs. She learns as much as she can about her audience and by the time she presents, she understands their lexicon and fully grasps their key objectives. • She lives in San Antonio, TX with her husband Machi. Her horse Fortunato is truly her boss.

His widely varied career includes university teaching, operations and executive management, corporate training, sales development and even elected official.
