Build a Strong Foundation in GME Administration with the New Institutional Coordinator Course

Join the National Society of Academic Medical Administrators for a focused six-week virtual course designed to equip early-career Institutional Coordinators with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in their roles.
Starting Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, the New Institutional Coordinator Course meets weekly for 90-minute sessions, offering a practical and supportive learning environment tailored to those with less than two years of experience in GME administration. Whether you're navigating ACGME requirements for the first time or seeking clarity on the role of the Institutional Coordinator, this course will provide the structure and insight you need to succeed.
Over six weeks, participants will:

Gain a clear understanding of the ACGME accreditation process for Sponsoring Institutions.

Learn to distinguish between institutional- and program-level responsibilities in GME.

Explore compliance requirements from ACGME and other regulatory bodies.

Clarify the Institutional Coordinator’s role within the GME Office and their collaboration with the DIO and key stakeholders.

Discover essential resources and networks for ongoing support and professional development.

Connect GME processes to their broader impact on patient safety, resident well-being, and institutional success.
This course is ideal for Institutional Coordinators with fewer than two years in the role, but all interested in GME institutional operations are welcome.

Cost: $199
The course duration is six (6) weeks, scheduled from October 8th - November 12th, 2025.
Courses will be held from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. (ET).

Meet The Course Directors

Tery Noseworthy, BA, C-TAGME
Tery Noseworthy, BA, C-TAGME is the Senior Director of Graduate Medical Education for Boston Children’s Hospital. She has more than 25 years’ experience in Graduate Medical Education at the institutional level. Her professional interests include program evaluation, diversity, equity and inclusion, and expansion and inclusion of the director role in GME. She was the inaugural chair of the NSAMA Education Committee, creating curriculum and growing attendance to more than 150 participants each month. Tery is a facilitator for Safe Zone trainings on gender and sexual identity and serves as a member of the Communications Committee for the Boston Children’s Hospital Rainbow Alliance. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a BA in Psychology. She lives in Gloucester, Massachusetts with her husband Mark and when she is not working, she enjoys board gaming, baking, disc golf and travel.

Kelly Conlon, MS, C-TAGME
Kelly Conlon, MS, C-TAGME serves as the Director of Medical Education overseeing the Eastern Region at Northwell Health. With a career spanning over 16 years in Graduate Medical Education (GME), Kelly's professional interests include professional development, GME accreditation, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as innovative learning methodologies. She serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Forum for United Leaders in Graduate Medical Education (FULGME). Her scholarly work includes publications on resident dashboards, correlation of stress in residency with future stress and burnout, and just-in-time teaching (JiTT) in teacher development. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Marketing from Hofstra University. She lives on Long Island, New York with her wife Meghan and her daughters Matti and Ella. When not focused on GME, Kelly enjoys attending Broadway shows, volunteer work, and yoga.
