NSAMA New GME Program Administrator Training Program
Registration is now open for Spring and Fall courses!
The National Society of Academic Medical Administrators presents the New Program Administrator Training course dedicated to providing an interactive and comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of coordinating a GME training program. Upon completion of the six-week course, participants will have; an in-depth understanding of program administrator responsibilities, GME and ACGME requirements, systems, and common best practices; information and templates to master the day-to-day program coordination; best practices for using commonly used applications; tools to continue professional development initiatives and mentoring relationship with experienced GME program administrators. This course is intended for program administrators with less than one year experience, but all are welcome to join.
Objectives
The information provided in each session and the shared best practices will allow the coordinators to meet the specific objectives outlined below.

Define the graduate medical education lifecycle, required systems and accreditation responsibilities.

Apply what is learned from each session to their positions throughout the academic year.

Demonstrate ability to interpret program requirements and navigate how program coordinators support compliance.

Manage accredited and non-accredited GME programs.

Connect with other administrators to allow for networking opportunities.

The Fall course will span six weeks, from October 27th - December 8th, 2026, with a scheduled break during the week of Thanksgiving.
